Caiman

This was a modeling and texturing exercise to improve my modo/zbrush/mari workflow. I decided to do a 3D model of a Caiman, which is a south american kind of Alligator.
The first time I got to see these beautiful animals was when I was visiting Pantanal, the world's largest tropical wetland area and most of it is located here in Brazil. The place is filled with all sorts of animal species and many crocodilians.
I remember we got to stay just a few meters away from the caimans (actually they get scared very easily) and at that distance you can see that some of them have a beautiful yellow/orange color in their bodies and the beautiful texture patterns in their skin. Well, long story short, I thought they would be a nice subject for a texturing exercise. I decided to bring out the colours a bit since it is one of the features that are more characteristic in this species.
